Order Samples
The finish has a low-sheen finish (10% satin) for a soft appearance and silky touch. Medium-density fiberboard (3/4” thick, 49lb particleboard) with catalyzed conversion varnish finish. Available in smooth panels with your choice of integrated pull. We also make Shaker and Skinny Shaker style panels without integrated pulls.
Select one of our standard 16 designer colors or choose a custom color.
Be aware that the color samples you request through our website are paper color samples, not lacquer paint. If you are interested in purchasing a white lacquered sample, contact our office.
Custom Colors
We happily support custom color requests.
Digital Color Matching
A paint-color charge of $400 will apply for each custom color requested outside standard palettes. We use a digital scan to match your provided information against most Benjamin Moore and Sherwin Williams codes.
Physical Color Matching
If you prefer to view a physical sample in your home, we prepare and mail out a 4” x 6” painted sample based on your provided information. Please note that your cabinets will not go into production until we receive your written approval of the sample. This process may add an extra 2-4 weeks to the lead time for your order. An extra charge of $500 will apply for each custom color sample request.
Lacquered fiberboard is available in the following colors:
A new generation of laminates that has little to do with the plastic laminates of old. The finish has low-light reflectivity, is fingerprint resistant, and features a silky touch. Highly opaque nanotech compact high-pressure laminate (CPHPL) characterized by next-gen acrylic resins, hardened with electron curing on a 3/4" thick core. All panels have front in Fenix NTM with a color-matched laminate back. Available with Shinnoki wood grain edge banding or on Baltic plywood with exposed waxed edge.
Panels are available in smooth slab style or with continuous aluminum pulls 6-7 in satin finish. Smooth panels with Baltic plywood core are available with pulls 9-10.
Thermal Structured Surface (TSS) made of a thick melamine shell with a gentle texture of simulated woodgrain over a 3/4” thick core with matching edge banding. It presents a durable, affordable environmental alternative to wood veneers.
Panels can be fabricated as smooth slabs and in a shaker style.
Textured Laminates are available in the following colors:
Natural hardwood, pre-stained and pre lacquered, to create consistent color and grain. The veneer is mix matched – A Shinnoki specialty. Individual wood veneers are laid over 3/4” thick core with matching wood grain ABS edge banding, and have a Grade A/B finish.
The finish is ultra low-sheen (2% matte) and offers difficult to achieve stains in gorgeous colors.
Panels can be fabricated as smooth slabs with aluminum pulls 6 and 7. More information at shinnoki.com.
This high-gloss finish (85% sheen) provides three advantages: the most scratch-resistant surface available, impeccable consistency, and enhanced color-richness.
Multi-layered, with core of fiberboard ABS adhesion layers, color acrylic polyurethane, clear acrylic, and scratch-resistant UV hard coating that offers chemical and stain resistance. Panels are finished with color-matched ABS edge banding and white melamine backer.

Ideal for CNC machining into custom shapes and pulls, exceeding the strength and performance of most other cabinet materials – even solid oak. The Phenolics feature a solid core (CPHPL) formerly known as Bakelite. This is an attractive alternative to stainless steel in professional kitchen design. Due to its weight however, we recommended limiting use to base cabinets, oven surrounds, end panels, and doors 30 x 24 inches or smaller.
Clear fiber board is finished in clear conversion varnish, satin finish (20% sheen).
Panels are smooth slab with your choice of integrated edge pulls.
This option delivers handsome grain patterns, warm rich colors, and dramatic grain patterns.
Individual wood veneers are laid over 3/4” thick core with matching edge band, grade A-1 , sealed with clear catalyzed conversion varnish in low sheen (20% satin). Some of the harder to source materials will have similar back.
3 ply Bamboo is a ¾” thick strand bamboo board finished without edge band, showcasing the characteristic layered edge. Strand Bamboo has a maximum length of 6 feet.

Made from common hardwoods dyed to simulate natural colors or soft stains difficult to achieve in natural woods. This technology produces rich colors using environmentally safe water-based dyes. Quarter slicing eliminates dramatic grain patterns, color variation, and provides perfectly sequenced veneers. Engineered veneers are a sustainable option to old growth Douglas Fir and Venge. Veneers are laid vertically over 3/4” thick core with matching edge banding and sealed on both sides with clear catalyzed conversion varnish, satin sheen (20%).
